The end of the year is quickly approaching. The Chadron Intermediate School After School Program needs to know how your child has benefited from attending the program. The past few weeks we have been handing out the parent surveys ( Purple Sheet) to parents as they pick up their students. It is very important to return these sheets. Surveys must be completed by parents, students and teachers of every student that has attended 30 days or more. This is how the program meets its grant requirements and receives funding for the year. We can also improve programing for students using the information gathered by the survey. If you have not returned your purple survey sheet yet, please return ASAP. You may send them to school with your child or drop them at the office or checkout desk. Thanks you for allowing your child to attend CIA. We all grow together!

CIA students had the opportunity to learn about and observe fossils of many kinds of creatures that once roamed our area. Barb Beasley, a paleontologist with the Nebraska Forest Service, came to CIA. What a treat Students especially liked the fossilized poo, but the horse, camel, saber tooth cat, rhino and pig fossils were a hit too.
Students have been enjoying second session of Clubs at AfterSchool Program. Nebraska History Quilting Club has been traveling to the Middle School to use the sewing machines, and I have reports that it is going very well!! Crestview Crew also has been out of the building enjoying time with the residents and doing fun activities. Here are some pictures of the kids at clubs at home fort--Chadron Intermediate School.
